Ian McKay

Ian McKay is Deputy Challenge Director at Innovate UK.
He previously worked at the Genomics Science and Emerging Technology team at the Department of Health with a specific remit for stem cells and regenerative medicine in December 2014. He left a position at the British Dental Association where he was a Health and Science Policy Advisor.
Before moving into health policy Ian had spent 16 years as a lecturer in cell and molecular biology at Queen Mary, University of London. He has a PhD in Developmental Biology and also worked as a post-doc in the MRC Developmental Neurobiology Laboratory at King’s College.
