Angharad Wooldridge

Practitioner Lead - Greener Primary Care Wales Framework and Award Scheme
Angharad Wooldridge graduated from Cardiff Medical School in 2013, and after working as a junior doctor in secondary care roles in South Wales she decided to pursue a career in public health. Developing a newly established hospital smoking cessation service inspired Angharad to undertake a MSc in Public Health and Health Promotion in Swansea University, and she has subsequently undertaken roles within the Wales Health Impact Assessment Support Unit in Public Health Wales (PHW), the Welsh Government Health and Social Services Group, and most recently in the Primary Care Division in PHW. It was during her current position that she took on the role of practitioner lead for the Greener Primary Care Wales Framework and Award Scheme. The Scheme was developed by the Primary Care Division in 2022, and is now in its fourth year. In 2024 the Scheme was awarded the ‘Healthier Wales’ award at the NHS Wales Sustainability Awards, and Angharad and the team are delighted to be a part of the judging panel for this year’s Awards.
