Dr Barry McGhee
Deputy Director (Engineering) - SPEERI
Barry leads on SPEERI’s engineering portfolio of activity and brings over 22 years of experience at Doosan Babcock, leading a high-performing R&D team and managing large, multi-partner projects and commercial programmes. He holds a PhD in Applied Chemistry and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde.
Prior to SPEERI, Barry was the Digital Factory Business Development Lead at the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS), helping manufacturers of all sizes tackle development and technical challenges by leveraging both internal capabilities and external support.
