dermatology fellow - Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT)
Katie is finishing a 12-month fellowship with the GIRFT team where she has worked to develop a greener care pathway for skin cancer. This has used the ELLA (Environmental Lessons Learned and Applied) methodology to identify and outline practical steps to decarbonise skin cancer care.
This uses the expert-led and data-driven GIRFT approach to co-develop evidence-based guidance with patients and professionals. She has an ongoing role in the GIRFT sustainable care pathways team where she will supervise the development of future pathways and consider barriers to implementation and impact of the greener guides.
Katie is undertaking her dermatology specialty registrar training in South Wales.
