Net Zero Programme Manager, Greener NHS - NHS England - North East and Yorkshire Region

As Net Zero Programme Manager for Greener NHS in the North East and Yorkshire region, I lead on estates decarbonisation, renewable energy, and climate adaptation across the region.

I chair the national NHS Climate Adaptation Community of Practice and developed the national NHS Climate Adaptation Framework — work that grew from regional initiative rather than national direction, and which has since gained wider recognition across the sector.

My background is broad: environmental consultancy, health service management, social enterprise leadership, and a career-long interest in what makes organisations and communities genuinely resilient. I hold an MBA with Distinction from the University of Lincoln and a NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety, and in 2025 after four years of study, I qualified as a psychotherapist — Level 7, relational and integrative, Transactional Analysis — working towards UKCP accreditation. This isn't separate from the rest of my work; the connections between climate, health, and human wellbeing are exactly what drive it.

Outside the NHS, I'm a director and chair of All Things Good and Nice, a community interest company focused on nature engagement, tree planting, and community wellbeing in North East Lincolnshire. I'm also a conference speaker who believes that lived experience and evidence belong in the same room.

I'm interested in connecting with people working seriously on climate adaptation, NHS sustainability, ecological health, and the relationship between environment and human flourishing.
