Charlie Parry

Charlie is an accomplished executive with extensive expertise in renewable energy, corporate strategy, finance, and energy innovation. As Chief Development Officer at UrbanChain, he leads corporate development, partnerships, and scalable growth initiatives, positioning the company as the operating system for future energy markets. His work focuses on unlocking new capital models, enabling local energy markets, and making renewable projects bankable.

Charlie recently completed his Executive MBA at the University of Bath, earning the Fernando Flores-New Prize for the highest academic performance. His dissertation explored innovative financial solutions to empower community energy schemes through public-private partnerships and scalable risk models, now shaping UrbanChain’s approach to decarbonization and energy transformation.

Previously, Charlie was Corporate Strategy Director at Good Energy, where he played a key role in accelerating the company’s transition to clean energy innovation and growth. During this time, he also served as a Board Member for Zap-Map, the UK’s leading EV mapping platform, helping scale its impact in the rapidly growing EV sector.

With over 16 years of experience, Charlie has held leadership roles across energy, technology, and capital markets, including M&A, strategic growth, and investor relations. A Chartered Accountant (ACA), Charlie combines strategic thinking with operational execution to drive impactful results.

Outside of work, Charlie is a keen cyclist, single-figure golfer, and father of three.
